Programs: JFS at the JCC

Jewish Family Service, the Robert E. Loup Jewish Community Center (JCC), JEWISHcolorado, Volunteers of America, Shalom Cares, and Kavod Senior Life teamed up to provide social, recreational, educational, and health programming to older adults. The programs all take place at the JCC, 350 S. Dahlia St., (unless otherwise noted). This page is updated monthly with the program schedule.  

A suggested $5.00 fee will be charged for many JFS at the JCC functions. Please note if there is a fee under “Cost” for each program.

The JCC will be closed Thursday, October 5 and Friday, October 6 for Sukkot and Thursday, October 12 and Friday, October 13 for Shemini Atzeret and Simchat Torah

Active Minds:  The Nobel Prize

Swedish chemist Alfred Nobel, the inventor of dynamite, established the Nobel Prize in his will in 1895. For over a century the prize has stood for extraordinary accomplishment in a variety of fields throughout the world. Join Active Minds as we trace the history of the Nobel Prize, highlighting notable laureates, notable omissions, and a controversy here and there. We will also take a look at recent and possible future winners and the political impact the prize can have in the world.

Fit & Fold is a combination of Chair Yoga and Strength & Balance exercise. Join Amy of Iora Primary Care as she works with you to improve balance and strength. Help reduce fall risk and increase physical activity.  Bring a friend! Iora Primary Care is specifically designed to meet the needs of Medicare-eligible adults 65+. They have multiple offices in the area and can coordinate transportation if needed.
